Shadow-Soft Announces Icinga Support Now Available on GSA Schedule

Shadow-Soft is pleased to announce that Icinga support is now available on their General Services Administration Schedule: GS-35F-0524Y.

In 2015, Shadow-Soft became a premier partner for Icinga, an open source monitoring solution, providing enterprise support and consulting services to commercial and public sector customers in the US and Canada. In August 2016, Shadow-Soft received GSA approval to add Icinga commercial support to their existing GSA Schedule. Being on schedule helps Shadow-Soft reach more Public Sector clients that prefer to acquire software and support through the GSA contract.

“We are extremely excited to offer enterprise-grade Icinga support on our GSA schedule”, said James Chinn, CEO of Shadow-Soft. “Many customers prefer to work with us through our GSA schedule and this allows us to provide more value to existing public sector customers, as well as reach new customers.”

Icinga support options can be reviewed at and purchased by emailing or at GSA Advantage.

About Icinga

In 2009, a group of Nagios community developers left to create a better network monitoring tool – Icinga. Also released as Open Source, Icinga better reflects the wishes of the community and changing needs of the IT marketplace. Icinga overcomes many obstacles found within Nagios and continues to demonstrate a pattern of growth, releasing new versions every few months.

With Icinga 2, the developers rewrote the core code, correcting many shortcomings like improving complicated configuration and improving scalability limitations in large deployments. Icinga 2’s core was also rewritten in C++ with a new component-loader architecture and process for executing monitoring checks. Worldwide market acceptance of Icinga 2 has been overwhelming. Please contact Shadow-Soft to learn more about implementing Icinga in your environment.
