Explore how you can do more with Google Cloud
Compute Engine
Google Compute Engine is the Infrastructure as a Service component of Google Cloud Platform which is built on the global infrastructure that runs Google’s search engine, Gmail, YouTube and other services. Google Compute Engine enables users to launch virtual machines on demand.
Cloud Storage
Google Cloud Storage is a RESTful online file storage web service for storing and accessing data on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The service combines the performance and scalability of Google’s cloud with advanced security and sharing capabilities.
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) provides a managed environment for deploying, managing, and scaling your containerized applications using Google infrastructure. The GKE environment consists of multiple machines (specifically, Compute Engine instances) grouped together to form a cluster.
Cloud Run
Cloud Run is a managed compute platform that enables you to run containers. Cloud Run is serverless: it abstracts away all infrastructure management, so you can focus on what matters most — building great applications.
Anthos
Anthos is a modern application management platform that provides a consistent development and operations experience for cloud and on-premises environments.
Google Workspace provides you everything you need to get anything done, now in one place. Google Workspace includes all of the productivity apps you know and love—Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, and many more.
Google Projects
The Challenge:
Shadow-Soft performed an analysis of the NewSci 911 call simulator’s Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and software architecture. Various recommendations and findings were recorded based upon discovery and conversations with the NewSci teams.
The Results:
- Defined reliability goals using Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets
- Built observability into infrastructure and applications
- Designed for scale and high availability
- Built flexible and automated deployment capabilities
- Built efficient alerting
- Built a collaborative process for incident management
